BIRTHFIT Prenatal Education Series
4 Classes meeting 1x per week for 3 hours
This is an intimate and fun, short and sweet, childbirth education class. Class will meet once per week for four weeks for a total of 3 hours. During our time together, the mother and her birth partner will explore all options available to her and her baby as well as scenario discussion specific to the La Crosse area. This class will prepare mother and support group for an experience they desire throughout the entire motherhood transition. Based on BIRTHFIT’s four pillars, we will uncover the birth mission statement unique to each of you, prepare for birth, and establish a plan of support, love, and nourishment postpartum.
BIRTHFIT Postpartum Series
8 Classes meeting 2x/week for 1 hr 15 min
This series is so much more than fitness! Our society has support for the motherhood transition backwards. Prenatally, pregnancy is often treated as an illness. Postpartum, women are pushed back to work far too soon. Additionally, the notion that any woman needs to get her “pre-baby” body back is complete nonsense. Your postpartum body has created life! Join to learn true functional core and pelvic floor healing. Discover strength the way your body was truly made to move. Mothers from the community gather together and create a tribe of understanding and support. This class creates a safe space for strength and vulnerability. Come as your true authentic self and heal from within.
BIRTHFIT Basics Consult
Are you a first time mom and have questions about your pregnancy, movements, workout suggestions, nutrition, labor, delivery, or postpartum? Maybe this is your second (or third, or fourth) pregnancy and you want something different! Explore new strategies in a personal setting. This consultation is not meant to replace any advice of your health care provider, nor will it give you a medical prescription, medical advice, or a diagnosis. BIRTHFIT Wisconsin is here to educate and support you as you take an active role in your pregnancy and/or postpartum.
BIRTHFIT Power Hour
Free Community Event
The Power Hour is an informative dive into each of BIRTHFIT’s four pillars: fitness, nutrition, chiropractic, and mindset . If you experience core or pelvic floor dysfunction (i.e. Diastatis Rectus Abdominus, peeing your pants during a hearty laugh or box jumps, or back pain during lifts) you will NOT want to miss this community class! You will learn how to rehabilitate your core and pelvic floor by returning to your innate origins of functional movement. With an hour devoted to each pillar, you will leave with practical information and the ability to implement the BIRTHFIT pillars into day to day life right away. This is a terrific class for women at any point in the motherhood transition. From those trying to conceive to those postpartum as well as birth professionals and those working closely with women in this transition.
